The Silken Puerta de Irati is located in the charming town of Ochagavía, Otsagabia in Basque, considered the most beautiful village in Navarra. The municipality is surrounded by the impressive landscape of the Salazar Valley and crossed by the Anduña River.

If you are a nature lover, you cannot miss visiting the Irati Forest, with kilometers of mountain trails perfect for exploring with family or friends. Visit the hermitage of the Virgin of the Snows and climb up to the Irabia reservoir following the Irati River. You can access this area directly from Ochagavía by car, passing through the Tapla pass until entering the Forest. Do not miss the Holtzarte suspension bridge, the Urbeltza river trail, or the heights of Abodi, where you will enjoy excellent views of the valley and the Pyrenees. The splendor and beauty of the Irati Forest will captivate you.
Although Ochagavía is a village full of charms, if you have time, we recommend visiting Ezcároz, the capital of the Salazar Valley, with stone architecture typical of mountain villages that today remains in all its splendor. You can also go to Jaurrieta, a small village located at the highest point of the valley that hides a rich and beautiful heritage. Another village worth visiting is Izalzu, the starting point of the famous Gartxot route, with 12 kilometers of forest, waterfalls, and views of the Navarrese Pyrenees.
