The Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren is an accommodation in Lekeitio with all the comforts built in the same location as the old Palacio Uribarren, where monarchs such as Queen Isabel II, her son Alfonso XII, or the Austro-Hungarian Empress Zita of Bourbon-Parma once slept, who lived in this emblematic palace during her exile. The history that accompanies it makes this Silken hotel one of the most special hotels in Lekeitio.
Hotel facing the beach of Lekeitio
Our hotel in Lekeitio is located right above the Isuntza beach, next to the Basilica of Santa María de la Asunción by the port, one of the most well-known pintxos areas with a pleasant walk to the breakwater offering an incredible spectacle on stormy days. An accommodation in the very center of Lekeitio with all the services for an unforgettable stay.
Located in an unbeatable setting, the Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren has privileged views over the sea, the slopes of the Lumentza and Otoio mountains, the imposing Basilica of Santa María de la Asunción, which houses the third largest sculpted Gothic altarpiece in the entire peninsula behind those of Seville and Toledo, and the famous island of San Nicolás, which you can access on foot when the tide is low. The union of all these makes Lekeitio one of the most beautiful spots on the Basque coast.
Rooms of our hotel in Lekeitio
All the rooms at the Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren have been completely renovated and air-conditioned so you can enjoy the most comfortable accommodation on the coast of Bizkaia.
If you are looking for accommodation in Lekeitio, this is your chance to sleep right above the sea, listening to the sound of the waves from the bed in one of the best locations in the village.
After the renovation of our palace hotel in Lekeitio, we have preserved part of its imposing façade that combines stone, exposed brick, and wood, nodding to the style of the farmhouses found in the area, combining it with large windows. For the interior, we have opted for a classic and elegant decoration, with walls in white and cream tones, wooden floors, and Markina stone, and regarding the furniture, we have recovered and updated classic pieces that we will find in the common areas integrated with modern and current furniture.
