Located in a privileged environment, our hotel in Lekeitio is a great option for a weekend beach getaway. A fishing village, Lekeitio is situated between Bilbao and San Sebastián and very close to major tourist spots in Spain such as the Urdaibai natural reserve.

The Silken Palacio Uribarren is located right at the mouth of the Lea River, in the middle of the bay with privileged views over the town and the famous San Nicolás Island.

A weekend in Lekeitio
Proximity to the impressive Cantabrian coast is just one of the advantages of the Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren, as it is well connected to the different provincial capitals in the area and offers a wide range of leisure possibilities, such as water sports and tourist routes of historical interest, among others.

Two minutes from the Hotel Silken Palacio Uribarren you will discover Isuntza beach, from which you can access San Nicolás Island at low tide. At that time, you can also enjoy La Salvaje Beach, in a much more intimate and natural setting. You can also take excursions to the nearby town of Gernika, Bilbao, the port of Ondárroa, or the Urdaibai natural reserve.

How to get to our hotel

From Bilbao to Lekeitio is 68 km, exactly one hour by car. It is very well connected and you can make a stop in the town of Gernika.

If you come from San Sebastián, you will have a bit more travel, about 72 kilometers, approximately an hour and a half journey.

At the Lekeitio bus station, you will find direct connections to Bilbao and other municipalities in the province.

To visit the Urdaibai nature reserve from Lekeitio, it is best to take a day trip with a private vehicle. The journey takes 42 minutes and you will also pass through Gernika.
