Dates of the 2022 Tenerife Carnival
The 2022 Tenerife Carnival will be held from June 3 to 26, almost a full month of popular parties, parades, and contests.
The Carnival will kick off on June 3 at the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds, and the event will give way to impressive celebrations that will continue until the Closing Party and Fireworks Display on June 26.
The best of the Tenerife Carnival
During the Tenerife Carnival, it is a tradition to showcase different groups that combine music, dancing, songs, and humor, competing for prizes. The rondallas stand out for the beauty of their songs, while the murgas offer a satirical performance, and the comparsas are a real explosion of rhythm with their dancing and drumming.
One of the most anticipated events of the Carnival is the election of the Carnival Queen, a female competition held in the categories of children, adults, and seniors. The spectacular costumes of the candidates attract thousands of spectators every year, in an event broadcast on television worldwide. In 2022, a total of 30 women and girls will compete to become the Queen of the Tenerife Carnival.
