EULAR stands for European League Against Rheumatism, a non-profit organization that has been representing both patients affected by osteoarthritis and/or rheumatism, their families, and professionals specialized in these conditions since 1940. Among the extensive list of activities promoted by this entity, the annual European Congress has become a must-attend event in the sector. This 2019, it celebrates 20 years and comes packed with new features. In this edition, notable is, for example, the presence of PReS, Paediatric Rheumatology European Society, with which the organization has worked very closely, as they emphasize, to ensure presence “across the entire spectrum of decades of life.” Also, as usual, People with Arthritis and Rheumatism in Europe (PARE), Health Professionals in Rheumatology (HPR), and EULAR EMEUNET of young rheumatologists, among others, will participate.

The EULAR Congress 2019 in Madrid will take place from Wednesday, June 12 to Saturday, June 15. Four days with an intense schedule of open lectures, scientific sessions, satellite symposia, and dynamic presentations, to name a few activities. The dinner price is 95 euros per person and is not included in the registration fee.

The ultimate goal is for attendees to have an international platform to exchange their impressions on advances in treatments and experimental cases in spondyloarthropathies, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, back pain, mechanical musculoskeletal problems, local soft tissue disorders, etc. Scientists, doctors, healthcare professionals, pharmacists, patients, and families are welcome, as well as anyone interested in any of the topics, with the aim of evaluating both the benefits and the costs for the individual and society.

The EULAR Congress 2019 will be held at Feria de Madrid IFEMA, somewhat away from central Madrid but very well connected.
