Alimentaria 2022 Dates
This year, Alimentaria will take place from Monday, April 4th to Thursday, April 7th at the Fira de la Gran Vía in Barcelona (Hospitalet). The event was postponed from May 2021 to April 2022 due to the challenges posed by COVID-19.
The activities of Alimentaria 2022 are aimed at enhancing connections between gastronomy, industry, and tourism, fostering innovation in the sector, and promoting international business opportunities.
New Developments and Agreements for Alimentaria 2022
This year, Alimentaria & Hostelco and Hostelería de España have signed a collaboration agreement to promote hospitality, boost commercial exchanges in the horeca channel, and contribute to the advancement of professional training in the sector.
Thanks to this agreement, students from the online training channel ‘Campus Hostelería’ of the Confederación Empresarial de Hostelería de España (CEHE) will be able to access the fair, aiming to enhance their learning and networking opportunities through direct contact with large companies. At the same time, CEHE will facilitate access to its e-commerce platform ‘Horeca Market’ for exhibitors and visitors of Alimentaria & Hostelco interested in this commercial exchange channel dedicated exclusively to professionals in the sector.
With this agreement, the aim is to revitalize and energize a sector heavily affected by the pandemic that is still in the process of recovery, and create new professional opportunities by promoting networking, training, and trade.
Additionally, as a new feature, eight startups set to revolutionize the food sector will gather at the Digital Food Arena.
