The 28th edition of the EADV congress in Madrid, the “modern face of dermatology”, expects to exceed 12,000 participants from more than 100 countries with the aim of exploring new opportunities and challenges in the sector.

Program and highlights
The EADV 2019 program promises attendees to stay up to date with the “changing world of skin diseases”, with the mission of “helping to maintain high-quality care both in Europe and abroad”. After gathering more than 13,000 participants in the previous edition in Paris, the event expects to break attendance records by focusing on ‘Skin Imaging’ (something like “imagining the skin” in Spanish). A title that encompasses areas such as confocal microscopy, dermatology ultrasound or computer vision, among others, in which Spain has positioned itself as a specialist. Likewise, among the activities that will take place during the days of the congress, the 150 sessions on dermatology and venereology stand out, with the aim of creating synergies and keeping professionals updated with the results of leading research in the sector. Patient Society Village. The exchange platform between the dermatological and venereological professional community and the different patient organizations.
The Aesthetic Sunday. On the morning of Sunday, October 13, 10 renowned specialists in cosmetics and aesthetic dermatology will meet to address topics such as “Energy-based devices, including lasers”, “Fillers”, “Peels”, “Scars”, etc.
At the end of the event, all those who wish will be able to download their CME-CPD certificate from the official website.
The ‘Controversy Sessions’ will cover a wide variety of topics with the aim of generating debate among attendees. For example, different drug solutions for acne, inflammatory diseases, treatment of hidradenitis suppurativa, etc. will be discussed.
The ‘Nursing Faculty’, with conferences and workshops organized over a full day and in parallel with the other sessions.

The EADV Congress 2019 will take place at the Madrid Fair in IFEMA. A venue very close to Madrid airport (7 minutes by taxi and 12 by metro). From the center of Madrid, the best option to get there by public transport is to take metro line 8 Nuevos Ministerios–Airport T4 and get off at Feria de Madrid with direct access to the South Entrance.
