24 carats of magic in Madrid and Barcelona

Four years after his last visit to Spain during the “The Moonshine Jungle Tour” and just five months after the release of his third studio album, the Hawaiian Bruno Mars steps onto the peninsula again this April with the world tour “The 24K Magic World Tour.” His Spanish fans will have two opportunities to see him live: on April 3rd at the WiZink Center Palace in Madrid and on the 7th of the same month at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona, days after the international tour kicks off in Belgium. With over 26 million records sold worldwide, the singer, musician, and producer managed to sell out the 33,000 available tickets within two hours of going on sale. From Hoteles Silken and with the aim of guaranteeing an unbeatable stay for Bruno Mars fans, we offer the public our 4 Silken hotels in Madrid as well as our 6 Silken hotels in Barcelona.

An 80s funk album

Although little has been revealed about the show accompanying the tour, the new album maintains the soul pop style of previous works and manages to transport the listener to the musical landscape of the 80s. With only 9 songs lasting 33 minutes, “24k Magic” is possibly the singer’s shortest album, blending R&B, funk, and disco melodies. According to Mars, it is a “romantic and fun” album which, as he has already shared on his social media, can also be understood by the public as an “invitation to the party.” Although this is the album promotional tour, it is almost certain that none of the hits that brought worldwide fame to the 4-time Grammy winner will be missing from the concerts in Madrid and Barcelona.

International and North American tour

Antwerp has been chosen by Mars to kick off this tour, which will include nearly a hundred concerts between Europe and America. While the first phase of the tour will land in Europe to visit up to 32 cities on the old continent—with a significant presence on British stages—in the second phase it will reach the United States and Canada, ending in Los Angeles in November of this year. Born into a family of musicians with a Filipino mother and a Puerto Rican father from Brooklyn, his previous album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” was the fourth best-selling album worldwide in 2013. It remains to be seen if the new work will have the same success, but the truth is that the show is guaranteed both in Barcelona and Madrid.
