The Spanish Association of Pediatrics (AEP) is celebrating this year in Burgos the congress that has become the benchmark meeting for all healthcare professionals dedicated to caring for and improving the health of children in our country. News
One of the major news of the congress is the inauguration of the update modules for pediatric specialties. Four will be scheduled each year. The sessions included in AEP 2019 are as follows:
- Inborn Errors of Metabolism (SEEIM)
- Pediatric Endocrinology (SEEP)
- Pediatric Infectology (SEIP)
- Pediatric Neurology (SENP)
In each area, expert pediatricians will present and discuss the challenges and trends in the sector with professionals from other disciplines.
Other key points of the program
- With the aim of channeling the strategic projects of the association throughout the year, the Committees on Quality of Care and Pediatric Patient Safety and Environmental Health will be present in various sessions.
- The Spanish Society of Hospital Pediatrics, SEPHO, will also hold its congress in parallel this year as a complement to all the activities, debates, and training included in AEP 2019.
- Meanwhile, the MIR group will debate in their own sessions the topics they consider appropriate for the present and future work of the collective.
- Finally, workshops and practical sessions also stand out, especially those that will take place at the Burgos Hospital.
