Our 4-star hotel is located in a strategic position in the city, in the new extension area, just a 10-15 minute walk from the old town and commercial centre of Oviedo. The surrounding area has entertainment venues, restaurants, bars and the city’s famous cider bars. The centre can be reached on foot or by bus. Exactly 1 km from the door is the prestigious Fernández-Vega Ophthalmological Institute, whose guests will be given very special conditions for accommodation at the Silken Monumental Naranco.
History has turned Oviedo into a goldmine of Romanesque art and it was declared a World Heritage Site in 1985. Some of the major monuments include Santa María de Naranco, a palace from the 9th Century, commissioned by Ramiro I, which forms an architectural complex along with the Church of San Miguel de Lillo. Other Pre-Romanesque examples in the city are the Church of San Julián de los Prados and the Foncalada fountain.
Our hotel in Oviedo is connected to the city's transport network. It is easy to reach by car from any starting point and the Vallobín Railway Station is only a few metres from the door. One of the city's main streets, Calle Uría, is just under 10 minutes away on foot. Furthermore, the main coach station, where coaches to regional and national destinations depart from, is only fifteen minutes away on foot and buses to the city centre stop a few steps from the door of the Silken Monumental Naranco.
