    We are fully aware that the COVID-19 pandemic and the response of government and health authorities are constantly changing and being updated. Please bear in mind, therefore, that the policies detailed in this document will be subject to change over time.

    Constant updates and preparation for COVID-19
    We have introduced a Global Preparation and Response Protocol in all our hotels and offices, which is being constantly updated and covers the following points:
     
    • Detailed and scientifically verified information on COVID-19, including prevention, response and treatment.
    • Updated information on the rules and recommendations issued by relevant bodies.
    • Legislation affecting hotels with regard to health, prevention and response, reporting and prioritisation of information, and the movement or concentration of people.
    • General operating guidelines for hotel and corporate office employees.
    • Guidelines on raising awareness and providing information to customers.
    • Information materials for employees and customers.
    • Lists of hygiene, cleaning and disinfection products, with references and technical specifications for cases where a similar product is required.

    Information about services and catering in the hotel will be available to guests via a QR code, thus minimising contact with surfaces and allowing the customer and the hotel to interact. 
     
    Other items in rooms have also been digitalised: the mini-bar menu, laundry charges, room service information, etc.

    For your own safety and that of everyone in the hotel, masks must be worn in all common areas. 
     
    Remember to keep at least 2 metres away from any member of staff.
     
    Masks, gloves and sanitiser gel will be available to keep guests, staff and suppliers safe.
     
    To make social distancing easier, and for your comfort, we have changed the layout of busy areas such as the lobby, the area round the pool, the restaurant and meeting rooms, as well as any other busy areas. 
     
    We have provided more information for guests about regulations, the measures we are taking and the services available. Various new signs and indicators have been introduced. By working together we can create safe spaces. 
     
    An internal protocol on safe distances and protective barriers has also been introduced for staff.
     
    If you would prefer nobody to enter your room, you can inform reception or hang a sign on your door (you will find this in your room).
     

    The restaurant

     
    Safety measures include a limit on the number of guests allowed in the restaurant, more extensive use of room service and stricter food hygiene with single-use dining utensils.
     
    We offer à la carte and buffet service breakfast so that you can still enjoy fine food during your stay.
     
    Meeting and event rooms have been adapted to the new safety and hygiene protocol, with extra digital facilities.

    Cleanliness and Hygiene
    We are implementing a full range of measures to ensure cleanliness and hygiene in our hotels, including the following: 
    • When you arrive at the hotel, we will offer you hand sanitiser, which will also be available in dispensers in common areas. 
    • Your room key will be fully sterilised.
    • Common areas will be cleaned and disinfected every day and internal areas every night.
    • When rooms are cleaned, all handles, knobs, switches, curtains, remote controls and items likely to be touched are disinfected. 
    • Leisure and entertainment programmes and fitness and wellness facilities have been adapted to the new regulations on safety and hygiene.
     

    Internal hygiene measures

    Our chambermaids have been specially trained to follow a strict protocol for cleaning, using products approved by the health authorities, which ensure rooms are kept clean and virus free.
     
    The protocol includes such measures as:
     
    • Hand hygiene: frequent, thorough hand washing. Cleaners and staff dealing with guests are reminded every day of the importance of this simple gesture. 
    • Waste treatment: safe handling, management and disposal of waste.
    • Health checks on staff: We pay regular attention to staff health by monitoring and medical check-ups. All employees are fully trained in relevant health and safety matters. 
    • Clean bed linen: disinfection is guaranteed. Bed linen is washed at a temperature of 75-80°C for at least 20 minutes, with a dose of hydrogen peroxide. It is then dried at 100ºC to complete the disinfection process.

    In the Canary Islands we work intensively so that you can visit us with the maximum conditions of safety, hygiene and quality. We currently have one of the lowest epidemiological rates in Europe.
    In order to maintain the low epidemiological incidence in the archipelago, the Government of the Canary Islands and Canary Islands Tourism are taking several measures that you must take into account when preparing your trip.
    One of the most important measures is that it is essential that all visitors over 6 years of age, who do not come from the Canary Islands, demonstrate through a certificate that they have carried out a diagnostic test for active infection by COVID-19 with a negative result carried out in the last 72 hours and approved by the health authorities.
