By train: Central Station. Local travel and connections to Galicia, Santander and the Basque Country.

By coach: Central Station. The ALSA bus company (national and international routes).

By car:
-The Y motorway (A-8) links Avilés with León and eastern Spain, Madrid and the south.
-From Galicia, take the N-634 national highway.
-From Santander, the Basque Country and Europe, take the N-634 to Gijón and then continue by the A-8 motorway to Avilés.
-You can also reach Avilés by regional roads via Trubia, Grado, Candás, Cabo Peñas and Luanco.
