Teresa Sapey was born in Italy in 1962. She took a doctorate in architecture at the Politecnico di Torino, and in fine art at the Parsons School of Design in Paris. Teresa Sapey is drawn to fluid spaces, spaces with feelings and emotions. In fact, all her works distil feelings and emotion: the emotion felt on entering a space, and the different feelings this experience arouses. Throughout her career, from her architecture studio base she has carried out a series of office projects for Mc Cann-Erickson, Tandem, Hispasat and Fox in Madrid; reforms of private homes; the design of shops like Custo in Madrid, Paris, Milan, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills, Dallas, Salamanca and Kuwait; objects like carpets, furniture, suitcases, packaging for perfume; exhibition spaces including Givenchy Perfumes and Delvico in Madrid; industrial premises for FIDESA in Daganzo de Arriba, Madrid, amongst others; schools like the S.E.K. colleges in Villafranca del Castillo and Ciudalcampo, Madrid, and Almería; art galleries; restaurant facades; hotels, bars and news stands. As architect, designer and expert in stylism, she has published several books and is a frequent contributor to the media on decor issues. In Spain, these media include the periodicals El País, El Mundo, Expansión, ABC, El Semanal, Metropolis, New Style, Vogue, Elle, Telva, Marie Claire, Mi Casa, and Antena 3 Televisión.
